Proposals for presentations for the 3rd Annual WNYSLC Service-Learning Conference “Harvesting the Benefits of Service-Learning,” scheduled for Friday, October 29, 2010 at Canisius College are being accepted through 8/20/2010. Proposals should highlight best practices in local, regional, and/or international service-learning partnerships. Event flyer

Mini-grant awardess announced. Congratulations to the following faculty and community partners who received WNYSLC mini grants for 2010-2011 projects! Sharlene Buszka (Daemen College) in partnership with Literacy Volunteers of Buffalo & Erie County, Jericho Road Ministries in partnership with Lynn Velasquez (Trocaire College), Angela Thering (D’Youville College) in partnership with the International Preparatory School at Grover, and Buffalo State College in partnership with Journey’s End Refugee Services. We look forward to hearing about their service-learning successes!
